Run for Precinct Committee Person. PCPs are who elect county and state party chairs, and convention delegates. State party officials are who determines who gets party money and resources to run for office.

It's surprisingly easy. I filled out a form and ran unopposed, in a heavily populated South FL precinct. A couple of REALLY young guys running against some other dudes gave passionate speeches and won.
I showed up at monthly GOP meetings. Nothing every came of it, just a bunch of people hob-nobbing. Marco Rubio came by a few times to get sucked up to. They worshipped him in that area! I even asked after I "won", 'soooo what do I do?' And my friend that got me to run was like, nothing. Just show up and clap. That guy ran for office and won this year :/
I wish I had known how to make a difference with it. We have a lot of work to do in educating ourselves about party politics.
I've been around him several times at GOP stuff, but I've never bothered to take the opportunity to shake his hand, get a photo, whatever. I was always mad at him at the time for some anti-Trump thing he had said. I remember one time everyone flocked around him like Elvis. No thanks. He serves me, not the other way around.

Are Marco Rubio's ears as huge in person as they are on tv? How many q-tips do you think that water guzzling boy burns thru every day?
