For Hiragana just search for a Hiragana flashcard type app.
For speaking/reading Japanese, I don't like Duolingo and never heard of Pimsleur. I just purchased a book series called "Japanese from Zero!" and I recommend them.
I'm not currently living in Japan unfortunately. Maybe someday.
Sadly no...I wasted my international business experience living in China and Indonesia...so I only know some Bahasa and some Mandarin.
If you know some Chinese characters then it's super helpful to learn Japanese Kanji. Definitely not wasted
Never too late! I just started a year ago. Start with learning Hiragana (lots of phone apps to help).. go from there.
(Japan lives up to the hype fwiw)
Pimsleur, Duolingo, something else? Cuious to see what you used, and if you are currently living in Japan.
