I know the theory floating around about Mitch the Bitch telling him he would be impeached if he pardoned Assange, and many have speculated his family was also threatened.
However, I still count the President too smart to believe the deep state would honor their word. In reality, it doesn't matter what he does because the deep state is going to go after him no matter what.
So what gives? Assange will now most likely die in prison, and it looks like it would have been incredibly easy for the President to pardon him.
Why leave Snowden and Assange to face trial when they committed no crimes?
Doesn't matter that Snowden is an anti-Trump cunt. Sure, it's bothersome, but there's no law that says you have to love the GEOTUS, just common sense that you are a giant douche nozzle if you don't.
Snowden committed no crime whatsoever.
True but he's not obligated to pardon cases that are potentially unjust. The crimes he is accused of are real it's just they are exposing unconstitutional things, it can go either way. I could see saying fuck it just for how bitchy his rhetoric towards Trump is, I wouldn't feel any incentive to not let him rot if I was Trump. Then again I'm not president.
I get that. But if Person A commits a crime, and Person B reports it, Person B should not be going to jail.
Yea I agree with that. Just saying I can see the reasoning as well, it's not up to trump to be the arbiter, the pardon is at his whim. Don't get me wrong I'm pissed at his pardon list and general behavior the last few weeks as well, just that's what I've heard or my guesses towards the reasons why those aren't on the list.
I understand and I agree with you.
