The federal govt obviously doesn't work for us. That's taxation without representation! Pretty sure wars have been fought over that... I would gladly move to Texas and even pay extra in state taxes if they did that.

Every State needs to leave. Let the Federal Government die. Then rebuild the Union one State at a time.

This time, maybe no Federal Government to play the noble class.

Honestly secession makes sense. California and Texas have nothing in common at this point. Why should they be forced to share the same federal government?

Well, it used to be so we could all band together to keep countries like China from coming in and taking over...

The strength of America was we won't all jump off the same cliff together. This Unconstitutional Federal Government destroyed that strength and centralized power it's not Constitutionally allowed to have. So DC is just the den of nobility ruling from above, away from the peasants.

Yeah America is a big and diverse country. It used to work because the federal government was small. Now it's too big and it doesn't make sense for a small group of elites in DC to dictate policy to people in North Dakota or Florida when they've probably never even been to those states nor understand how they think.

Yep. I say the electoral college doesn't go far enough. Need it at the State level too. One city dwelling asshole shouldn't run the state because of what's happening in their city.

If only one community votes for you, represent that community. To represent a state, the majority of communities should want that representation.

They're worse than nobility. Traditional nobility is tied their country so they at least want the country to succeed so they can pass it on to their descendants.

The modern "nobility" don't give a shit the name of the game is sell out the country to foreign interests, make as much money as possible, retire to some cushy consultant/lobbyist job and let the next government deal with the mess.

The federal government shouldn't be making laws that effect states internally that much - see the 10th amendment. And states shouldn't really shouldn't be paying much in taxes at all to the feds, see the 16th amendment was never ratified and that it was one of the main reasons for the revolutionary war in the first place.

States not being like each other is how it was SUPPOSED to be. There was SUPPOSED to be a competition of the way states were ran, not an all one federated state by the feds ignoring the 10th and implementing the 16th.

Just invade at that point and leave it under martial law for a few decades. Then for a few more decades after that have it as a territory. They will have to crawl naked over broken glass, nails, and fire to become a state again. If ever.

Don't ask Cali as a state, ask their counties.

Abe Lincoln would like a word.

He helped create this Unconstitutional Federal Government. Maybe this is why we don't wipe our ass with the Constitution because we are impatient with social progress...
