Then they "realize" they have a crime problem that their mental health professionals aren't able to solve on-scene. They decide they need to beef up their force, but alas, they have to lower their standards...because not enough qualified individuals are applying. That question has bothered me since right after the Antifa/BLM riots started. Sure some cops have gone corrupt, but I think most of them have been doing that job from a sense of honor, duty, and a genuine desire to do good for this world. Many of those types left law enforcement this year because they were treated so inhumanely.

Well, what kind of people are going to replace them? It’s going to be people only looking for a paycheck, no sense of morality or goodness driving them. And they will just do what they’re told. So any local dictator mayor can use them to go after their political opponents or whatever. It can’t be good where this is headed.

People who want to become part of the gestapo. Basically everyone you wouldn't want to ever be a police officer. But a lot won't leave, because the benefits are too good, and they don't want to fuck with their retirement. You only need 20 years on the force to retire with full benefits. They'll just keep their heads low and do what they're told, hoping to get those years in and be set financially after that.

Same with the military. Why join the military, let alone stay in it, if Biden is literally vetting troops for political loyalty? All that means at that point is if you're conservative, you're only good enough to be sent off to die in a foreign war for him.

Honestly, everyone should quit and take no part in this illegitimate presidency. Police, military, everyone should just peace out. Same with Republicans. The most powerful thing they could have done was all resign, with governors refusing to fill the seats with an interim pick. Show the coup for what it is, let Democrats be the only ones there, and they won't have anyone to blame when they fuck up. They'd have to own responsibility for everything they do.
