There's a big difference between cheating to get in charge, and actually having the numbers to be in charge. Republicans control 31ish of the State Legislatures and governors offices, and the vast majority of local offices (outside of Dem urban areas).

Maybe, but the weaponized agencies and Obama policy of putting low income projects into suburbs has really damaged republican control.
