Min wage is going to eliminate jobs and illegalize working for less. It's going to be an awesome event. Small businesses will begin to disappear, others will begin cutting jobs to minimum staff requirements, larger companies will stop hiring, and still others will begin automating and outsourcing.

What happens to the people who make $15 now will they get $18, cause they will want more than the entry level people.

We raised the minimum wage to $15 in Canada (Ontario, anyway) and the other wages didn't go up to compensate, effectively devaluing everyone else while simultaneously raising the cost of living. Amazing.

The NDP won Alberta, and they, while oil prices began to sink, raised the minimum wage to 15. The funny thing is, prior to our insane economic decline, no business was paying less than 15 for ANY position, because in any incredibly competitive market, we are willing to pay whatever brings us even the slightest edge over our competition. Since covid i have done my best to keep my employees on. But now, with the keystone killed, i have no other avenues. I cannot keep paying out of my own pocket.
