Hell, the pipes even raised up high enough so it doesn't disrupt the wild life. Our roads have a greater impact on the environment than this pipeline does!
People always bitched about the Alaska pipeline destroying wildlife. I moved here. Visited Fairbanks for the first time. Saw the pipeline on the side of the road. Was sorely disappointed by the lack of disrupted nature. The massive moose that almost destroyed my rental car didn’t seem to mind much either.
