Just wondering what the consensus was on this topic. I know of 2 people in Illinois who didn’t vote because they prefer to not get called for jury duty.

My state uses Driver/State ID now to increase the pool. Got called in 2019 - had to show up 3 times but never seated. Had a lot of fun asking crazy questions -

Can we take bets on whos gonna get picked?

well I dont see why not as long as your quiet....

I live in California. Used to get called in every year until I registered as a Republican and voted for Trump

Fairly certain they summon for jury duty based off State ID's now in some states.

They both refuse to register to vote because they claim they take names from the voting registry. Here in Washington they give ID’s to illegals. Now that I think about it. I hope they aren’t serving on jury duty.

Voter registration also gets pulled for jury duty too so they're right. Getting out of jury duty is pretty easy though.

Students, taxpayers, and state and local licensees of all types are also pooled, I believe.

Basically, any municipal interaction that establishes identification and residency.
