That's because if you switch your registration to Independent, you can't vote in the primaries...and he wants traitors to be primaried out, to flush out RINOs with true patriots.
Okay but then you have to purge all the garbage much of which has been entrenched for years. They will be making things difficult every step of the way. Seems like abandoning them and going for a new party would be a lot cleaner.
