I'm hijacking this comment to ask you a question. If Trump's comment section on Twitter was ruled as a public forum, and he was ruled by a judge not to block people because it restricts their access to "the public square", (he can still mute people, so the ruling is arguably fair in that he still has the ability to protect himself from abuse), then .... when Twitter BANS the president, and therefore bans ALL the comment sections on ALL of his tweets ... didn't Twitter violate the law by destroying multiple public squares???
However, on this occasion you get the ruling from a Texas court and the Supreme Court have to either allow that ruling to stand or set a precedent that breaches their own prior precedent.
I'd say the Texas lower court should rule on it, Supreme court denies the appeal, and since it's denied at the State level, they can't appeal to the Supreme court, problem solved.
We're not using logic in this culture anymore. If we were, people would know that covid isn't too deadly, black people are not unfairly targeted by police, the election was stolen, etc.
You're trying to use a logic key to open a lock that does not use logic. Something else is happening. We're dealing with emotion or indoctrination or something else.
I personally think they made the wrong call, however, if these are the rules, they must be applied equally.
Compared to what happened with Trump, that was his personal twitter, whereas this is an official government account. So, whatever defense they would have is much weaker although I suppose we'll see the courts be super-biased as always.
I read the constitution recently, started after the election to try and understand wtf is going on and just finished it. I can tell you we have not been following that thing for a while it CLEARLY states a bunch of stuff we are not doing and there are amendments on top of amendments that even contradict each other.
I don't believe so. It would be like the WH blocking all mail sent to it. The citizenry has an expectation to speak (or at least believe it is speaking) to the President. Not replying to mail is one thing. Banning all mail is quite another.
Trump couldn't block haters on Twitter. Biden can't block people on YT.
Of course, this is topsy turvy world, and everything Dems do is some form of great and amazing. So, it just might stand.
So what are you going to do about it Robert Barnes? Tweeting that it is “likely” unconstitutional does nothing unless you drop bombs in the form of lawsuits on the Biden regime
So was the election. So was the Meuller investigation. So is restricting gatherings, 2A, 1A, etc. They do not care, and will continue to do so while people complain instead of doing what needs to be done.
YouTube is a private company, they don’t need to follow the Constitution. This is America, land of the free, the Constitution isn’t going to tell us what to do,...
If the news paper sends you news you dont like, you can send them a letter, so send twitter a PRIVATE company a letter. Just use another web sight sheeple.
If Trump can't block twitter users on his personal account...
I'm hijacking this comment to ask you a question. Yes, but of course liberals don’t care about the law
That's why you make your lawsuit in Texas.
And then the Supreme Court refuses to hear it.
However, on this occasion you get the ruling from a Texas court and the Supreme Court have to either allow that ruling to stand or set a precedent that breaches their own prior precedent.
Explain the downside?
I'd say the Texas lower court should rule on it, Supreme court denies the appeal, and since it's denied at the State level, they can't appeal to the Supreme court, problem solved.
Don't let it go to the supreme court.
Deny all appeals to the Texas Supreme court.
Can't go to the SCOTUS if it can't get past a State court.
...because you don't have "standing."
Get it through your head...you don't matter, peasant.
True
Apparenlty Republicans don't either.
Some of us do... although that’s probably gonna change because I have a feeling we’re leaving the republican party
Found the commie
You losers are so unoriginal
Yes. Twitter blocked our opportunity to directly comment to the president.
YouTube is doing it with Biden now. Turn on the comments! Stop the censorship, fuckwads.
True. And the first clear sign of that was comment blocking.
Hate.
I personally think they made the wrong call, however, if these are the rules, they must be applied equally.
Compared to what happened with Trump, that was his personal twitter, whereas this is an official government account. So, whatever defense they would have is much weaker although I suppose we'll see the courts be super-biased as always.
Obviously. Now find a court that gives a fuck about the Constitution or previous rulings.
I read the constitution recently, started after the election to try and understand wtf is going on and just finished it. I can tell you we have not been following that thing for a while it CLEARLY states a bunch of stuff we are not doing and there are amendments on top of amendments that even contradict each other.
THAT'S DIFFERENT, YOU NAZI!
First thing I thought when I saw comments disabled... But democrats control everything now, laws don't apply to them
Good. Can't wait for one of our many conservative lawyers to sue them. The Left does that all the time.
“No standing”
"you should have filed before he blocked the comments"
keK
....rigging a national election is probably illegal too but they did that right out in the open with no fucks given.
They did a lot of work with lawyers and judges months before voting started. That may be the way to go at them.
Try years. They own all the SCOTUS and small courts as well. Man you really been asleep haven't you.
they also own those cucks named alito and thomas. alito/thomas agreed 'NO RELIEF SHALL BE GRANTED EVEN IF WE HEAR THE ARGUMENTS'
Thomas is a stupid faggot then. Same with Kavanaugh.
Dumbass retards bent over and let Biden shaft them right up the ass.
if there were only an amendment that allowed us to not have to become thieves to win an election....
Stealing the election and installing a demented pedophile who couldn't find the tv remote much less use it is also unconstitutional. Just saying.
Cowards!
LOL. They're afraid people will read the comments and be like, "Holy shit. I'm not the only one who hates this guy."
Rules for thee not for me, remember and respond accordingly when they come
Like that ever stopped them before
What’s a constitution?
Democrat toilet paper
Wouldnt it only apply to selective blocking. If there was no forum in the first place I wouldnt think the public forum argument would apply.
Please look into it, Barnes!
Reporting all the WH videos that have the comments section closed. The purple hair moderators will hate my guts.
I called it just hours ago!!!
Petty nonsense. Let's focus on disabling YouTube's owners instead.
lol. like they give a shit about the constitution. . ..
iS tHIs aN iMpeAChesabLe oFfeNse?
But rules don't matter for certain political group(s) in this nation!
Barnes is ok with election fraud despite clear evidence as long as some judge somewhere ruled its fine. But went on weeks lone rants about tweets.
Fucking shill.
Yup, all of these grifting lawyers, getting that sweet airtime to get some clients. That's how they do it, and they don't even have to win.
Hahahahah! Such fucking losers who don’t want to see “hate speech” hahahahha
Youtube deleting Trump's videos while still seating as POTUS also unconstitutional
They went around Trump's vow to say America will never be Socialist or Communist by installing Fascism.
Has he blocked people on his twatter feed yet?
They are so blatantly afraid of any forum where they cannot explicitly control the message. Because they know the country hates them.
So what are you going to do about it Robert Barnes? Tweeting that it is “likely” unconstitutional does nothing unless you drop bombs in the form of lawsuits on the Biden regime
What can I say? Unconstitutional stuff leads to more unconstitutional stuff.
Unconstitutional? What do you think this is, a free republic with a constitution? Nah, this is a banana republic now.
Time to make the "sniff and suck regime" feel like they dropped the soap in prison.
If the reply button on Trump's twitter is a public forum, so is that comment section.
THIS is unconstitutional? The whole god damn government is unconstitutional.
the constitution is a genius document.. but it's a damn poor shield against people who can't read.
The only thing left of the United States is the rhetoric. This is new Amerika.
impeach 46
your input is no longer permitted. stop transmitting and receive your new establishment approved programming.
I'm beginning to think that after 10 thousand wipes, the Constitution no longer applies.
It is illegal, based on what the left did to Trump
It doesnt matter if the judges are compromised.
If it's unconstitutional for Trump to block commies, then it is also unconstitutional for them to turn off comments.
(if the country ran as it is supposed to)
Lol Barnes still think the constitution exists
stop it you are just helping that scumbag adapt
I thought there was a SCOTUS ruling that said the White House can't do that.
So sue them. You are a lawyer. The SC would have to rule consistently with their ruling on Trumps twitter
Maybe Lin Wood should do something useful and sue instead of making cryptic two more week posts.
Constitution?
If the news paper sends you news you dont like, you can send them a letter, so send twitter a PRIVATE company a letter. Just use another web sight sheeple.
lololol
