The legislatures looked at it, and we got the vast majority of Republican legislators, but not a simple majority. Why? Some of them are cowardly. They don't want to make news as having been the one that gave the election to Trump, even if that was the right thing to do.
However, their own jobs are tied directly to election security- Republicans don't benefit from voter fraud.
