It’s like that guy in a bar who wants to talk tough and threaten a much bigger, stronger guy, so he does the whole “Hold me back!” routine, where he gets a buddy to hold him back from actually attacking the big guy. You get to talk tough and pretend you would kick the guy’s ass, but you only can’t because your buddy is holding you back.
That’s the GOP right now.
They’re going to be putting on a show for voters to try to give themselves conservative street cred, but in reality, most of them are full of shit. If they didn’t put their money where their mouth is when their party was actually in power, then whatever they say now is meaningless.
Remember how John McCain spent literally years constantly attacking and campaigning against ObamaCare but then the second he had the chance to actually do something about it, he didn’t?
That’s what we’re about to witness on a massive scale.
A whole bunch of RINOs are going to talk tough to try to avoid being primaried in 2022. Don’t believe them. If they didn’t stand with Trump for election integrity in 2020, then toss them all on their asses in 2022.
But what came of his objection? Rather than evaluate their actions, evaluate their results. He knew full well that he didn't have the votes to actually get any results from his objection. Republicans do this quite often. They organize beforehand, figure out who's voting what, and then select certain figureheads to "fight the power" when they know that nothing will come of it. It's vital if you want to be controlled opposition. You have to give the appearance that you are fighting. I'm sure there were some genuine people involved involved in the objection from the house, but I don't trust anyone that is obviously aiming for a 2024 bid: Hawley, Cruz, Gaetz, etc.
So your logic is because not enough others voted with Cruz, CRUZ is the bad guy.... with standards like that Dems will be in power for 50 years, before being ousted by a further left group.
I'm saying watch what he does next and see if he has any actual plan to fix things. If he and the others give up on voter fraud because, "well, I did my part" then he doesn't actually care. So many "conservatives" want us to forget that the leader of the free world was just stolen from the people. Most of them are taking the "we'll get them next time" approach. To me, it is absurd to just forget about the constitutional crisis we are in. They claim to be leaders; they need to start acting like it.
I will support Democrats over the people you listed, with the exception of Cruz.
Obviously the best choice is to primary these pos. Yet even if they somehow manipulate their way to the R nomination, we still must vote against them. We would have defeated the Dems, if not for the RINOS. I will never forgive them. I will support someone like AOC over them. At least then, our side will become resistant and galvanized, instead of falling into vulnerable slumber, thinking these traitorous RINOS are our guys.
