I thought the argument was that a wall is an economically inefficient method to prevent illegal immigration? Let's assume it is - they still implicitly concede that it is effective (just too expensive). Isn't it far, far more inefficient to literally spend money to remove this preventative measure?

It's not going to get torn down. I believe they said that they wouldn't tear it down, but they won't let any more of continue to go up.
HOWEVER
The permits were already secured and approved by the contractors and they've already been given the grant money to finish the bitch up. Without a court order, the states suing the US, and the contractors suing the US, they can't stop building it.
That's the great thing about permits and approvals. It locks them in legally and if they back out, it's a breach of contract. And since they're already paid, it'd be a HUGE waste to not just let it go. Which I assume they will. What they WON'T do is maintain the wall and they'll leave the gates open or the wall not guarded. A wall works, but a wall with guards is impervious.
Better have a wall of Hispanic patriots standing in front of it when they bring in the bulldozers. Make them think. Our legal Hispanics will not stand for criminal line cutters and border hoppers
