Here's the thing about secession:

Texas has a legal right to secede. It's in their union charter. They're the only state that has this option. Florida doesn't. If Florida secedes, the US has a legal right to declare the insurrection act and take military action against the United States. And believe me, Biden wouldn't hesitate for a fucking moment to invoke the IA against a rebelling state.

HOWEVER

If Texas Secedes, it would give courage to the other states to step up as well and perform the same function. With Eastern Oregon/Washington/Very North California voting to secede and join Idaho in a 'Greater Idaho' territory, Idaho could renegotiate their union charter as well and say 'we can secede legally'. Texas and Idaho can protect logistics/supplies while offering military support for other states that want to secede, you'd see states signing up for it.

Most states are scared because of the IA and failing to protect themselves from the Regular Army and the loss of supplies/logistics/food/power. There would need to be a coalition with the states to really make it happen.

Texas is largely self sufficient. They have their own grid, they can grow their own food, they drill for their own water, they export more oil/energy than any other state. Texas has the federal government by the balls because if they secede, they can just sanction the US and deny them oil/energy and that REALLY cripples the United States. Along with Texas having their own standing military outside the National Guard.

Biden won't just let states go though. Even if they wanted to. He WILL NOT allow any wrong think. He'll destroy the state and everyone in it before he lets a state go and I can promise you, if Texas did secede, Biden would literally annex Texas. Because he won't allow anyone to undermine him.
