You may have heard different information about TTL (Time before DNS is refreshed), but here's how it works basically. DNS seems to be hosted on Cloudflare, I think that's established already.
Cloudflare will update DNS every 5 or 10 minute. But a DNS change doesn't happen immediately across the world. Your own PC/Phone has it's own DNS cache with it's own TTL. Your router may have it's own DNS cache, your ISP definitly has it's own DNS servers, which you are likely connected to if you haven't changed those.
So the updated record has to go through all these nodes until it reach you, unless you literally use Cloudflares DNS servers which are 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1
That means, any change made about now can happen at any time from now, or up to 24 hours from now, or longer if your settings says so.
Cloudflare propagates very fast tho. I have changed DNS records many times on cloudflare and it propagates in less than 30 minutes. And yes, I'm using 1.1.1.1 as DNS, and it's still on the spash page. So this mod is either cooperating or the story doesn't add up.
Yeah, as opposed to what? We sat VERY UNCOMFORTABLY with the domain under his control for months and months.
If it is still in his control, why is the DNS redirecting to the new website??
