It's not a strange point to make when your answer to "the fight being bigger than Trump" is to double down on it being about Trump.
For years I just laughed at the left and their claims about cult of personality, but in less than a month on this site I have come to realize there may be something to it.
Therefore I think there is a point that can't be hammered home enough. Trump wasn't the movement, he was the avatar of it.
