Besides, I have to question the viability of bothering with any political party at all when we all just saw what they do to our votes.

There was nothing organic about it - it was a split maneuver to take out Ron Paul.
And that is why ever since, the Tea Party has basically been non-existent on the political scene since...it served its purpose - its job was done.
As long as its just the domain, and you aren't removing TheDonald branding on the top of the site, it won't look like a hostile takeover.
The moment the site goes negative or neutral towards Trump is the day I quit visiting.
