I will try to make this post shorter then my normal ones,

We currently live in Washington state, and in a part that is very left leaning me and my wife are sick of this place it does not represent who we are. Over the last 20 or so years it has become more and more left leaning due to the migration of Californians to the area.

So we feel it is getting time to move, and we would like to move to a state that will not tax us to death, or make us ware a mask, and basically let us be Patriots with out bothering our way of life, we love the outdoors, hot climates are not really good for us, the wife loves how green it is here and would like something similar.

I think 20+ acre's would be a very nice thing at this point, I am sick of being so close to people, but i guess that could be due to being around the wrong people.

We don't mind the idea of being out in the country, but i would have to be semi close "50 miles" to a major city as my career is in computer networking.

one of the major spots we have looked at is West Virginia, it seems to have the nice land that we have been looking for, and the pricing out there is crazy cheap compared to Washington state.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, Thanks Patriots!

You need to go to Texas and then vote to secede. When the Communists start really ramping up their persecution of Conservatives, we'll need a place to go. Go and make a home for us all.

I love the Idea of Texas and seceding, downside is it seems way to hot, and the land does not seem like the place we would like to live at. Wife thinks its not green enough.

This is the kinda stuff we love.

but honestly if it comes down to biden taking my arms and money vs green trees I think the trees would loose.

I was thinking of Tennessee too, but i have lived in Washington state my whole life and have not traveled much.

I went to Georgia and Alabama when i was in the military but i did not go off base much, so i never saw the area.

any reason Ohio?

Lower taxes, rising business community. It might be cheaper to take a trip nowadays so if you have the time to spare it might not be a bad idea to do some research and plan a trip

WV is cheap because it's the poorest state in the country (no hate to WV)

Also no "state" will prevent you from having to wear a mask. Its mostly a regional thing so you would have to pick an appropriate county to live in. Also it's 100% a personal decision whether you wear a mask or not. I live in a blue county of a red state so 99% of people wear masks here.

Goxod [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah I figured that it might have been due to the housing costs,

The whole no mask thing is more of i don't want to put up with the crazy ass people. where i live if you walk into a store you would get people coming up to you and they would start yelling at you that you are killing everyone, or you would be kicked out of the stores. I prefer not to get into a confrontation over how stupid people are being.

I 100% agree it is a personal choice, but people in my town don't seem to agree with that idea.

Kekmanchoo 1 point ago +1 / -0

Let me ask you, have you ever not worn a mask and had someone accost you like that? I've never had a single person talk to me about not wearing a mask.

Goxod [S] 0 points ago +1 / -1

No but the problem is I work for a city, if anything happened and it got back to my boss i think i would have to find a new job..

I hate this bull$#(@ no one should be made to feel this way, either your freedom or your ability to feed your family. If it was just me living on my own I would give no crap, but I have 4 people depending on me. :|

I feel like this is the problem with a lot of things now a days, we have been made to fear the mob, not a fear of death but a fear of not being able to make our way in life.

Kekmanchoo 1 point ago +1 / -0

What would happen? And how would you not wearing a mask to the local Walmart result in you losing your job? You sound like a pussy.

1
Goxod [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

it depends on your point of view some people would say pussy, others would say overly cautious.

I ask you how many people have been fired or removed from positions just for speaking up on platforms, how many have been filmed later to be fired from their jobs for argument's with leftist, how many patriots have just been labeled terrorists, why is it we cant have one day go by where we see people on the right being made an example of.

currently I am the sole provider for my family of 5 and i work for a body of government where i am the lowest man in my department, Knowing what i know of my HR, if any videos are provided to my employer I will be let go.

if this makes me a puss then I guess I am, I have put my self in this position of choosing this job to feed my family, but this too is part of the reason I wish to move. I am sick of having to worry about this crap just to be able to support my family, I want to walk into a store and not have some blue hair go postal on me, I want a job where i can say what i want and not get fired for my point of view just because its not the popular opinion.

so again i say it all depends on your point of view.

I would say anywhere Biden isn't, even Mexico will be better than the USA under Biden.

Tough to answer fren. How old are you guys, how many kids if any, what occupations do have, how much $ can you spend are a few of the pertinent ?'s that would help others advise.

I am 40-50 miles from two towns on 43 acres with solar and a well, BUT I am "retired" and don't need to commute anywhere. That is a big deal in country living. Also living off the grid or out in the country your responsibilities are different then urban life.

You have the maintenance responsibility to consider plus chickens, barn cats, field dogs, etc. all need attendance. We get predators and prey here...mountain lions, occasional bear, deer, elk, etc. They kill things, eat stuff, trample things, etc. So think it through.

Goxod [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

early 40's, 3 kids but i believe only 2 will be coming with us. I work on computer networks, wife worked in property management. I have a pretty good understanding of the requirements to live off grid, I grew up hunting in eastern WA, dad taught me a lot. :)

but I do realize that it will be a daily function to take care of everything, just to live.

Sounds like you could pull it off. Good luck to you.

Hubby and I chose Helena MT. But SD is also really good. No property taxes, death taxes etc... No masks either unless stores choose to mandate. They never locked down there.

We wear masks here if stores require but most stores aren't pushy about enforcement and the new gov says he will do away with them supposedly.

We lived in Southern AZ and GTFO right after new years. Used to live in birch bay WA years ago and loved it until leftist bullshit in Seattle got bad.

What about Idaho or eastern Washington, east of the cascades? Washington state has a lot of people who value homesteading and independence, but you have to travel away from the west coast.

South Dakota or Wyoming are also options. I would avoid Texas, NC, Georgia, Tennesse. These southern states are currently being targeted by liberals and are getting all of the wrong attention. They will be blued over the next ten years.

One southern option is Mississippi. It is pretty sparsely populated, fertile land, good people, and notoriously slow to accept change.

Goxod [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

I thought about Idaho but the price point is a little to high for us, and the places that are cheaper the wife said was ulgy... lol

I thought about eastern WA but I just found a whole mess of gun restrictions being put to the state reps, and im kind of done with this place.

Yeah, Idaho real estate is crazy, especially around Boise, but that’s the case in those other states under invasion as well.

Mississippi or Alabama are still viable, and your wife may have to shift her thinking to focus on potential of a home rather than prettiness. Assess based on “can this place sustain our family cut off from Walmart/target/menards, etc.
