True but: in my experience the big-cities seem to breed rudeness and entitlement.
I was in LA for a few years, it was an eye-opener. I encountered few polite/compassionate people, and most of those were black/hispanic/other. The Baizuo ("White Left") in LA are a very rude and hostile people, especially on occasions when I was outed as a Flyover State person.
Every single job that I've ever worked at, large company or small, has had petty vindictive terrible people.
It really has little to do with size (cities or otherwise).
Humans, by our nature, are petty vindictive terrible people.
