We are a community of free speech, why would we not want convert people who are tired of being silenced in other communities on reddit and other places?
I get where you're coming from but we should always look to expand the audience and bring them in. For me, I'll always spend 90% of my time here but it's nice knowing if I seek answers on something else I can stay on this domain.

Well I just want us to stick to our roots and not lose any momentum. I’m afraid the more subreddits we add, the more we will dissipate here.
