So long as the face of that system was Trump, the left funded them, supported them, and let them off with a slap on the wrist because their actions could be used as a tool to attack Trump. But the actual individual Antifa's weren't explicitly anti-Trump, they're anti-US government.
Now that the left owns the government, the favorable status the individual Antifa's used to enjoy will quickly disappear. The Antifa problem will need to be addressed before the left can start rounding up conservatives, lest we realize we currently share the goal of regime change and forge a temporary alliance.
