i would rather not post it for obvious reasons. - but it is basically saying that they have been working on new policies related to equity diversity and inclusion - this will include re-educating the teachers so that hey can recognize their own bias and that they will be evaluating all policies, including discipline, to make sure they align to the goals of equity and inclusion. I will have lots of questions at my school board meeting. Because to me I don't know how you can institute such policies without the school allocating resources based on criteria which is banned by law.
Ugh, that bias training is going to be brutal. I feel for the teachers who will have to sit through those PowerPoint slides and be lectured to.
I live in California and a community college in our area transitioned hard into being an "antiracist" institution last year. A lot of the same stuff. They actually did redirect resources to certain students based on race. There were Black-only counseling dates and Black-only registration days.
i pay over $10k a year in school taxes - they get that no matter what
