We went to great lengths and personal hardship to provide a private education to our kids, and this is why.
There's no car, house, phone or entertainment that is worth more than that. Unless you're truly destitute, pull them out. Find a parochial school (they are less expensive), home school, form a pod.
the issue is that the public school has more resources in the forms of clubs, sports, STEM, and the much smaller class size means the kids have less opportunity to find kids they can relate to. But yes, the plan is first to fight this nonsense, then to remove them if there are any policies put in place that impact their safety or result in them being treated differently based on their race, religion, or nationality (i can't believe i even hav etc type that part).
The public schools talk a good game, but they really don't provide QUALITY sports, clubs, or STEM. Seriously, a lot of those clubs are just "gather in the History teacher's room twice a month for 25 minutes with at lunch and talk a little about goals for French club" or whatever. It's majorly lame.
