This is one of those oddities that always has me wondering. Obviously it was immensely profound and affected a lot of important people on both sides of the aisle, and quite strongly.

Trump almost looks smug to me, and probably was.

But....

How come it seems that nothing ever came of it? If it was that 'big' of a deal, then why does it seem to have meant zero.

This is one of those things that has me baffled.
