here is what I wrote my representatives:

There is no way to recall or remove a US Senator. This process was overlooked when the 17th Amendment was ratified. I propose the Nebraska Legistlature creat such a process at the State level. 

We voted for them, we should be able to recall them when they aren't doing their job.

Maybe it should be a petition to the governor to remove, only able to be used when the petition reaches the governors desk. This would make sense from the perspective of the framers, since the original intent was to have the Representatives stand for the people, while the Senators stood for the State.
