Yup, exactly. There was a grocery store in my area that was non-union and then the employees started all gathering together to basically form their own union. They started demanding excessive stuff from their employer. One of the demands was $5 extra per hour for "hazard" pay due to COVID. Every week I went, it was strange because the shelves were getting more and more empty and not being restocked as well. I figured it was supply-chain issues. Then one day I went and the entire store was closed completely.
Turns out the owner saw the writing on the wall with the employees he had (bunch of socialist commies) and decided to just completely pull out. He knew he wouldn't be able to make any money with these commie workers so he took his money and ran for the hills. On the last day of operation, he closed the store early and then overnight had a bunch of day laborers clear out everything left in the store. When the employees showed up the next day, there was a notice on the door that the store was closed and they were laid off effective immediately.
