I'm so confused. What am I missing.

Someone went Rouge ?

But how does a Mod take control of a Site if they are only a moderator ?

This doesn't make sense

The domain was originally registered by just one mod, instead of a group of mods. When he left, he didn't hand it over.

Yeah I did and it still doesn't make sense.

A mod is a mod.

They don't control the whole site.

Guy had the domain and never gave it to the "mod council" as promised so the other mods had to tip toe around that until dude tried to fuck us. That was my takeaway.

one of the mods controlled the domain name, thedonald.win, so a new domain name had to be used.

IMO, The Donald.Win really was a site created by Reddit Admins as a holding pen for TD users on Reddit.

They didn't count on their holding pen (TD.W) outgrowing the paren't site (Reddit).

Now? Who really knows if this shit is real. We may be balls deep in Alice's Rabbit Hole.
