The censure only happened because voters made it clear to local elected officials that we are pissed off. Angry emails/phone calls, threats to primary them and loss of donations are the leverage we have right now. No politician wants to lose their very comfortable gig. They don't like confrontation or having to justify their votes to us rabble either. Censure isn't a magic bullet, obviously, but they want desperately to forget the election fraud and "get back to normal". We can't let that happen. .This is why I believe censure, albeit toothless, is a good start. Besides, making them uncomfortable is its own reward.

We had those, and used them to try and force them to stop the steal, and the state and federal GOP dragged their feet and avoided the fight long enough to make it impossible for Trump to win.

I agree with the overall point of your post, but I don't want people getting comfortable thinking the GOP are the good guys because they throw out some toothless public gesture that amounts to almost nothing tangible.
