Paying taxes. You should be too. They cant come after all of us, and its the last form of peaceful protest we have at this point. If you don't have taxes deducted directly from your check, dont give them any Save your receipts and tax docs. Just dont file. Fuck them bitchea

I've been a Tax Resister since 2004 (Iraq War). Phased out my programming career, supported Ron Paul, considered the Free State Project. Went in way deeper after Obama was elected. Now living in a tent in the woods, not paying any income or property taxes.

I alone am pathetic. But if there were millions doing what I do, then it would be a powerful movement. I'll do the right thing no matter what, even if I do it alone. The only soul I am responsible for is my own.

If this rumored plan of getting out of the corporation of the united states is real, you wont have to worry about the IRS much longer.

Read up on Gandhi. And read Ayn Rand.

Millions of sufficiently determined dissidents could bring this government to its knees!

They can't martyr us - that would undermine faith in their benevolence, and cause them to collapse even faster.

They can't jail millions of tax resisters forever - it means they don't have our positive contributions to the economy, and they'd have to spend trillions on prisons. And it would still make them look like tyrants.

Government is a faith-based institution. When faith shatters, it collapses.

Dumb idea. They’ll just use it to go after you. Government can just print more money, you’re not depriving them of anything.

You don't get it...

Government is a faith-based institution. That money they print or borrow is backed by faith in your future enslavement.

If there's a large Gandhiesque resistance movement, the faith in the government will be shattered. It can all collapse very quickly, like the Soviet Union!

You’ll get hit with penalties.

Our ancestors had to fight wars and get killed for freedom.

The price that we must pay is much simpler - Federal Prison.

They lose money putting millions of productive people in prison. And it makes them look like tyrants and hypocrites all over the world. All we want is our freedom! At some point it will be cheaper for them to just let us go.

Have a good friend thats been down that road. He paid 12,000 in taxes when they said he owed close to half a million with fees and penalties. His attorney was 500 plus $150 an hour which came out to less than 5 gs for attorney fees all said and done. If he had paid the taxes as he was supposed to it would have been over $100,000 minus deductions. And in the meantime the government saw none of that money for over 5 years. I have never voluntarily paid taxes, period. Taxation=theft

That was what he charged for sure becausei got a consultation myself.. And even as a tax attorney it is hard for you to calculate penalties to say that was implausible.. my dude didnt pay taxes for almost 15 years, so it was definitely im the hundreds of thousands. Come to Denver, there are commecials all day on the radio from Advanced Tax Solutions and people giving testimonials to almost the exact same story: "I owed over 100,,000 in taxes and only paid 10,000". Maybe you just arent as good as them but like to charge way more? Maybe some of the numbers wer exxagerated, maybe even by myself, its been a while. I didnt ask for receipts. He seemed to think he got off a lot better for not paying and having an attorney fix it after. If you are a tax attorney, you ought to know better than most that taxation is theft. At very least im going to make them fucking work for it, and Id rather pay an attorney than uncle Sam. Your advice has been taken into consideration, and thanks for caring, but that trigger was pulled years ago
