I did it via the chat assistant. Initially when you are going through the process of requesting a refund, Amazon will inform you that you can't get a refund for Prime. Just select the option that allows you to talk to a person. I didn't cuss anyone out. I just merely kept repeating I wanted a refund because I was no longer going to be using Prime benefits. (I didn't admit I am boycotting Amazon for the rest of my life because, if I said that, I thought it would be an incentive for them to deny my refund request.) Just keep repeating you want a refund because you will no longer be needing Prime benefits.
