Pops is originally from there. Have visited many times and love it. But am a Texas native, and am not leaving this great state. Just going to move to a place further from the border.

You can't shoot guns in city limits in SD. We have a wide range from totally desolate to Sioux Falls (metro). Cows outnumber humans! It does get very cold here in the winter and that keeps a lot of riff raff out. I have lived in Boulder and been all over and am grateful to be back in SD. Open carry or concealed carry in state. Very conservative, not liberal.

It's really, really cold there in winter, like - 40 degrees. But you can have all the guns you want AND discharge them in city(at least some) limits. At least it used to be. Great Governor.
