Lol nothing is absolute and we all know exceptions to the rules but we should only make exceptions for those worthy of exceptions on a case by case bases. I don't hate someone for taking the money, I hate the person who made them 'dependent' on that money. If you have an IQ above 130 you know the slippery slope created by those with good intentions leading us down the path to hell.

Just bitter and hope this wakes them up. It has been a shit week lol. PF are one of the better trades left all around but I've met plenty of bad too.

Yeah, PF is how I got into welding thus leading to inspection. Nothing good is going to come of this. I went from a dead end job to banking under Trump back to Welders selling their Rigs and PF selling their tools and going into a different trade. It sucks but I don't think our industry can take another hit and keep that cream of the crop we need to make some of the exotic welds. The number of people who can do it who are Americans is going down every year.

Even 8-10 years ago. let me guess 8/10 were from PR, nobody else could pass.. I keep forgetting 2020 happened and I don't know anything anymore lol. I hated the over safety before and can't imagine covid bs on top of that.

It depends on what part of the country you're in. Oklahoma most of our pipeline welders are American and even in the refineries and power plants but when you get down to refinery's on the coast you will start seeing some non-American work force. Usually not even able to communicate with foreman's without a Interpreter. Now if you're talking about painters, insulators, machine operators and roustabouts are almost all from some country south of our border legally here on either asylum or some visa.
