I'm bi and honestly it's just refreshing to be surrounded by people that don't give a fuck about offending others. I mean, if "faggot" gets banned, then "retard" is probably next, and I couldn't deal with that. I'd rather live in the basement of the westboro baptist church than deal with commie bubble-wrapped PC bullshit where any non-wholesome-100 thoughts or emotions are banned. It's life - some people will hate me, some for reasons I deem retarded, but you know what, that's okay. We don't all have to get along.

All that being said if I see one more blue haired straight freak call themselves "queer" to try and fit into the faggot community I'm going to go ballistic. Watching a straight shitlib try to "reclaim" queer on behalf of the gays is fucking insulting.

I'm in the camp of trying to not be offensive to people and generally using PC language. That said, I also try not to take offense and don't get offended by use of those words.

But I do use the word retarded a lot. And I've been called a hateful SOB by privileged leftists for it. I actually did some digging on that word once just to understand the origins and use over time. I knew it was a term used to describe a medical condition. What I did not know is that so are all of the other words used for similar purposes, including idiot, imbecile, moron, etc.

Alas, we are safe to use the word retarded now, though, because medical professionals have adopted the words "intellectual disability". That's a good move, because nobody is going to misappropriate that.
