I love the idea... mathematically, it would be almost impossible to actually win 270. I think we need to have our Patriot party run as Republican in the primaries so we can get out as many swamp GOP as possible.

It’s about a voice and standing up to establishment....at first. It will take awhile to grow, raise money, recruit. We could draw a lot of “independent” voters. Maybe some non radical democrats. I’m pretty optimistic about it. Doing something is better than doing nothing. One of the main things to make noise about is election integrity, gotta fix that first.

at least this time he'll be able to choose candidates that will maga, as opposed to candidates he eventually has to expose. not all of his choices were bad ones; some people obviously had a specific role to fill...but i've always felt that prez maga chose who to pick based as much on "here's a rat bastard that needs to be exposed" as anything else. i'm sure he and his loyalists have their eyes on some good candidates for '22 and '24. it's a damn shame we're stuck with mcconnell and lindsey et al. for 6 more years....since they just got re-elected, they must feel untouchable, with 6 more bright years of scamming ahead of them.

The way he chose that MAGA FBI director Wray? Sorry, I hope Trump just provides fire and fuel. Let him run his businesses now,

the fact that biden is keeping wray ought to tell you all you need to know; prez maga exposed him for what he is, a scummy ice weasel. he couldn't fire them all (he left office with a shit-ton of his appointments never filled) but he sure did expose them.

Why??? Our votes don't matter anyway. This would be a perfect time to get this going. We'd automatically have 60+Million at the get go

You do have a good point... but I think it would leach from the republicans, and not much from the democrats... but I could be wrong.

Check out the election of 1912. Woodrow Wilson won 40 states, over 400 electoral college votes, with only 41.8% of the votes. This is because Taft and Roosevelt were competing and each got 23% and 27% of the vote, respectively. If those were combined, they would have easily beat the 41% of Wilson. Special mention to Debs, a fucking Socialist, who got 6% of the vote.

So, let's say a 3rd party does do better, but no party gets 270 electoral college votes. It would go to the states which certainly would vote for either Dem or Rep and doubtful they will vote Patriot because the people who would vote representing the state are already Dem or Rep...

So, that's why I think.

But you do make a great point... maybe now is the perfect time. But I still stand by my statement where we need to get Patriot candidates to primary the swamp.

"Republican" would become the new 3rd party. I think we'd see a lot of Republicans actually switch over, and if they didn't, they just committed career suicide.

You can’t win by infiltrating but they can co-opt the infiltrators like the tea party was co-opted. Clean break time.

You're gonna get leg-humped by GOP shills and staffers for saying that, but it is 100% true.

Clean break time.

100%. Otherwise, the GOP will play pretend and blame the Dems while supporting idiotic policy, act concerned when elections come up, and then turn right around and screw the base, as usual.

Yes, I agree, initially it would be very difficult to get the 270. But, in time, while the GOP dies its very own ugly death, the Patriot party can continue on building until such time that the GOP is just the latest Whig party.

Finally, at long last, most Republicans are finally starting to see that the GOP is no better than the Dem party. It's betrayal IMO makes it even worse. In fact, we now have confirmation that there is a Uniparty, never mind the blue v red FAKE divide.
