“Follow the science” and its dumber, more nauseating older sibling “Because sCiEnCe!” are two favorite totem phrases among the vapid wokesters.
But a word—“science”—isn’t really worth anything without some sort of substantial reality behind its original intent.
Back in March 2020, we were told wearing masks wouldn’t do anyone any good against microscopic viruses, and we were provided with science that proved it. Then it was decided we have to wear masks; the science says so. But... we weren’t given any NEW science which disproved the evidential science of just weeks earlier.
If I go to the grocery store and buy a bag of potatoes, and the cashier says “That’ll be tree fiddy,” I can’t just say “Money” and then take by bag of potatoes and go. Nope. That’s not how that fuckin works.
So when I hear someone says a word like “science,” and you know, THERE’S NO GODDAMN SCIENCE, I’m going to have to call for a re-shop on that bag of potatoes.
That’s all.
And this was actually a shower thought. My wife heard me through the shower curtain mutter something about “morherfucking potatoes” and I had to be all like “What’s that? No, I didn’t say anything. Did you say something?”
My favorite thing about empty phrases like tRuSt ThE sCiEnTiSmSuH!!!! is you can always tell Lefties, "Y'know, Dr. Mengele was something of a scientist too," and on the off chance they know who that is, you can see their brain short-circuit in real time.

It's almost better when they don't. You just hype him up a bit... tell 'em he was a wonderful doctor who made a lot of really neat discoveries surrounding the science of the human body, how he was basically a genius, and how much Socialist policies affected his life.
