Most federal taxes are income based. The only way to legally pay no taxes is to have low enough income to not get taxed or have enough deductions/credits. I've thought about this a lot and personally am working to reduce the taxes I pay, but it is difficult.
Some ideas:
Barter/trade instead of using currency. No sales tax.
Provide your own necessities, such as growing food, using wood for heat, solar or wind for electric to reduce need to pay bills.
Do something that can be a business. Expenses related to that business are deductible. If you have a business that uses a car, use your income to buy a car and deduct from taxes. Have a business selling cookies and deduct food and cooking supplies from income.
Use cash and don't report it. This is not technically legal, but if you don't flaunt your earnings would be hard to prove. Morally questionable, but if a government doesn't follow it's own rules why should you?
I'd recommend all pedes to start buckling up their finances and being prepared for lower incomes and more expensive necessities due to inflation. Keep money around in case you want to move. Support states that are conservative or libertarian. Try to lessen the amount of your money you send to the thieves.
Develop a skill where you can work from home (IT support / sales) and get a job in another english speaking country. Bank in that country and move your funds to a trust account in Barbados, and trade in bitcoin.
If 75 million people quit paying taxes I think it would send a message. Are they going to send the IRS after all of us?
Yes.
Who would pay for all the prisons? It would all immediately collapse. But it requires EVERYONE to do it at once. In the tens of millions.
This would have to be a national movement where we all publicly decide the government does not represent us. Taxation without representation is theft.
That's a good way to go to jail from the IRS.
