The jet stream is going vertical south to north instead of the usual flat west to east pattern. Some places miss out and the west coast of Alaska can stay warmer during an ice age. Southernmost SoCal is due for two rain storms in the next 7-10 days, so we might get some rain. I also live in that corner and I am waiting for some rain.
