"Holding on to anger is like swallowing poison and expecting your enemy to die."
Pedes!
Think about that sentence for a moment, and consider how that applies to our current political situation.
We all know that no one loves Biden. Even the people that did in fact vote for him... they don't love him. He is boring, and uninspiring. He elicits no strong positive emotion in anyone. He's not funny, charming, charismatic or purposefully entertaining. Even here. Sure, we all make fun of the guy, and we all fear for how much damage he may do... but not a lot of people really, truly, and deeply HATE him.
Trump, on the other hand, is loved and respected by all of his friends, family, and supporters and thoroughly DESPISED by his enemies. He is an extremely polarizing figure, but no one can describe him as boring. Even his haters will occasionally admit publicly that he can be quite funny & entertaining. Only the saddest sacks of shit can say they went through his whole Presidency & didn't laugh one time. In fact, I remember the first time he really kinda won me over... the whole Administration made a video about that Laurel vs Yanni thing, and at the end Trump said, "I heard Covfefe." And it was such a masterful troll I laughed my ass off and watched it like 10 times in a row.
Anyway, back to my point: people who voted for Biden didn't vote for him because they loved him. They voted for him because they hate Trump. Not even the journalists love Biden. They just hate Trump. They hate Trump because he is everything they can never be: funny, entertaining, ballsy, and basically honest.
The entire media empire -from Hollywood to MSM Press- is full of a cancerous rot. They produce shallow content. None of the media they produce will stand the test of time. It's all created for short-term consumption, a quick profit and easily disposed of. That's why there are very, very few original stories and everything is either a re-boot, a re-make, or is based on something from another form of media. Think all the Marvel movies being based on comics from 1950s-1990s. Or how Netflix made The Dirt, because a movie about Motley Crue's stupid shenanigans nearly 40 years ago is more entertaining than anything a modern rock band has going on today. They literally have nothing new & interesting on offer.
People are clamoring for something of substance, something real, something visceral that makes them feel something besides depression & anxiety. People want to feel hopeful about life, and the future, but everything the media & the Democrats serve up is bleak and full of despair. That's the difference between "A Dark Winter" and "The Best Is Yet To Come."
Now, as we all know... more people than ever voted for the candidate who gave a message of hope. The problem is that misery loves company and the miserable, hateful, despair-filled creatures will do everything in their power to drag everyone down with them... and that's why so many of us fear the worst out of Biden's Presidency.
But here's the thing: they are going to fail. I am sure of it. Why? How can I be so sure?
Because the Left just swallowed their own poison. The Left just commit suicide. They are dead already, they just don't know it yet. Leftists are straight-up fucking fools. They voted not for love of their own, but out of hatred for the other. They just proved that they think they're going to get rid of their enemy by swallowing their own poison. It's one of the most pathetic things I've ever seen.
This whole sham is the Party of Misery trying to bring everyone down into the despair-filled hole they have dug for themselves. The majority of them are unhappy people, and it's far easier for them to bring you down to their level than it is for them to try to lift themselves up.
The fact of the matter though, is that the Pursuit of Happiness is something that exists at the core of the soul. That's why the Founding Fathers included it so prominently in the Constitution. It isn't just some idea they came up with randomly. They literally said: this is a God-given Right. You have the Right to find & pursue whatever makes you happy. Most people are going to do whatever they can to lead a life that strives for happiness, because the alternative is to wallow in discontent.
All of the discontent, dissatisfaction & disarray that we've seen in this country over the last few years, at least 80% of it is in the hands of the Leftists & Democrats. We are under incredible pressure right now, and it's about to break. But once it's broken, it will be perfectly clear as to who is responsible. Those people WILL be held accountable, if not by Man, then by God, Karma/, he "Universe" or whatever system you believe is responsible for balancing the scales of existence.
Once broken, we will have nothing but the opportunity to either fix it. Or, if it cannot be fixed, we will innovate & create something new.
...and the world keeps turning, baby!

Of all of the bullshit tl:dr crap that comes from a handshake account that I can’t swipe off of my screen fast enough...
This is not that. This post is beautifully written and thought-provoking. This is the type of writing and thought process that needs to be stickied by mods and put into a fucking Jerry Maguire mission statement. This isn’t hopium, it is actionable by all of us virtually standing here wondering what the fuck to do now. We are like the Israelites after the Exodus, wandering aimlessly around the desert with no true destination.
Thanks for taking the time to write this. Ive heard that poison anecdote for years but never thought to apply it to the left. It is so dead on.
Glad you liked it, fren.
I truly believe this movement has the power to change things for the better. I know a lot of people are talking about how to enact these changes. I see a lot of posts about Primary-ing candidates, forming the Patriot Party, etc.
I think approaching from the political spectrum first is backwards. I believe the change needs to be pushed first from the side of culture before it can effect the political field. Politics is down-stream from culture.
Now that The Left is full-blown establishment, we are in the position of being the Counter-Culture. We can embrace the Spirit of '76. Be rebellious!
I believe we should start injecting new, more "youthful" imagery into this movement, and integrate it into new vehicles for progress. By that I mean... find inspiration in the high-energy things that lift people up, that make them strive to be better, and make this movement synonymous with those things.
Skateboarding, rollerblading, snowboarding... motocross, weight-lifting... amateur baseball, basketball, football, hockey... rock & roll, heavy metal, hip-hop, and even punk music. Incorporate this movement's new identity into these hobbies & interests by encouraging everyone to let the movement intersect with other areas of interest.
For example, when forming your local baseball leagues/Little Leagues, don't use already existing MLB team names. Come up with something new that ties to MAGA. Call your team The Centipedes. Make a new mascot be a centipede with a blonde comb-over! HAHA!
Put MAGA merch on your dirt bike helmet, or your guitar amp. I'm sure many people do this already, I'm just saying turn it up to 11. Be an Ambassador for the whole project.
People will begin to associate the movement with having fun and being cool, and once something is fun & cool, you start winning people over. Hell, even some Leftists go through a spiritual awakening & realize they hate being unhappy all the time. As you wrote on the other comment... bigger tent, more people. That groundswell of support creates an environment where politicians feel like they can capitalize on what's going on in that movement. Again, politics is downstream from culture, so we gotta focus on cultural battles if we're going to win in Election Wars.
Enjoy your deportation.
spez: Not that I don't agree with you, but rule #1
We have the biggest tent to offer and will throw a life raft to anyone who dares jump off the establishment ship. To say we all weren’t just a bit tepid when Trump came onto the scene would be a total fabrication. I KNEW Hilrod was the devil and anyone would be better, but people say some good shit to get elected and none of us really knew what to expect until the rubber met the road. Trump far exceeded expectations and gained loyalty and support from Americans who had never voted R in their lives. Our tent is only going to get bigger, so let’s at least encourage the leap it takes to get off the plantation.
Agreed, but they have to denounce the left. He said almost. Almost isn't good enough.
Maybe I wasn't totally clear... I didn't have any resentment against Trump, I was just politically unaffiliated. Always was, my whole life. I was also never one to watch a lot of TV and in my life I was never too aware of who Donald Trump was. I've never seen even 1 episode of The Apprentice, and my hobbies & interests never put my attention toward what a billionaire business mogul was involved in.
When he announced his intention to run I just assumed he was just trying to build his personal brand, get a bunch of new customers and go back to his business. I bet a lot of people that that as well. I also believed that Presidents were Selected, Not Elected and that The Powers That Be would never allow him to become President... and based on this year's results, well... can you say I was completely wrong to believe that?
Rule one.
Yeah, now that's the case. It wasn't back in 2016.
