The populist left is going to turn on the establishment real soon. They’ve been told for nearly a year that if the democrats were in charge everyone would be taken care of and the republicans are holding it up. Now the democrats are in complete control and they tell America they will give them $1400 in 4 months. Rs and Ds are the exact same thing!!
They need to have a giant witch hunt show trial for Donald Trump first. People are hungry, out of work, scared, and suicidal....so no rush I guess....just piss away time with an unconstitutional impeachment based on insane made up evidence.
An impeachment trial at this point is not going to go over well with 80% of the population. The only people that will satisfy are those overdosed on blue pills. The right will be fucking pissed they are still going after Trump and everyone else will be annoyed that during a pandemic and economic disaster our government is doing nothing but wasting time on a pointless impeachment of a former president.
I understand why they impeached him, they wanted something to dangle over him to prevent him from doing anything extreme in his final week. But now that his final week is over it just looks like a petty, pointless, waste of time at a time when shit needs to be done.

Yes there is obviously a populist uprising already occurring and has been for a decade. It started small as the Tea party in 2010 and has grown steadily since then. It’s already big enough to elect a President. By 2024 it’s going to be so huge it will start taking over the mainstream.
I wouldn't call the Tea Party populist by definition. It's half populist, half boomer conservatism. No offense to boomers as they can be quite based.
The populist portion of the Tea Party now days knows the government is full of inept corruption and that is what the party that rose to face McKinley was about. They want to end foreign wars from an ideological and principled stance.
The other half of the Tea Party are the type of people who want the military to come home because we don't want them abroad getting hurt, but are just as happy bombing them instead. These people also tend to be in the deep state already like Dan Crenshaw. Came out of the military and still wants more wars.
