2.4 GHz wifi is not working. Only the 5GHz is working. Is this likely a problem with Comcast router? There is an older computer that needs to connect to 2.4GHz -- don't think it can talk to 5GHz as the 5GHz is not even listed on its list of Wi-Fi networks. The older pc was connecting fine with 2.4GHz but now suddenly has no connnection. Nothing was changed on the Router. What to do?

The problem is the router or your pc, if the 2,4 GHz isn't listed on any device, it's either turned off or your router is defective.
The wall of text wasn't really needed xD
The 2.4GHz is listed on wi fi list of networks on other new devices. But when I try to connect to 2.4 it fails. 5GHz connects okay.
Is it possible that the Router can fail only on 2.4 and work fine on 5GHz?
Just restart the router.
Why not? They are 2 separate things. So try all the basic shit first. Restart the router, delete the 2,4 GHz connection and reconnect so that you have to input the Wi-Fi password again.
And if nothing helps reset your router but save your configuration first, so that not everything is lost.
(Maybe it's just a coincidence and you have to go into the configuration of your router and change the lease-time of your DHCP. But this would only make sense, if you could connect to your wifi, but can't use it.) <- not likely
And if nothing helps: new router.
