You can ask why the Supreme Court can pick and choose what it wants to act on in the first place. If it is a state vs state or federal issue the court should automatically have to take it.

Trump what was told that by talking heads and Social media, but to my knowledge he did remove EOs with EOs with no legal problem. Trump had some lawsuits with his EO, and it looks like Biden is meeting one in Texas at the moment. Trump also had so wide reaching EO which allowed rebuttal from any resistance judge (at least that's what I've heard said, don't know how true that is) which slowed some of Trumps EOs.
It was my understanding that he tried to remove Obamacare with an EO and was shot down by the SC?
So basically the president can do whatever they want with an EO until someone calls them on it and takes it to court.

If you control the government and the media, you do not need rules. You just need the appearance of rules, and the media covers or creates the rest.
We are going to see a lot of this government just ignoring the law, I think. I would not expect more than a token challenge here or there just to make people think that it is legitimate.
