It was pretty convincing but I'm skeptical of where this dude is coming from in his other stuff now that I've read up on it. Ie, this link from his blog to an interview where he blames the US for a long series of bioweapon attacks on China, how we are bullying China, etc etc. Dude lives in China and spreads a lot of China talking points. Claims Trump was responsible for their pig virus etc.
