Well... I'm on the fence about how to handle it, on one hand I would be in the "high risk group" as in I'm 60-ish and not in great health to begin with, recent surgeries, etc. On the other hand: the Chinese Virus has been used as a political nuke by the press and DNC, as an attack on our economy and personal freedoms. (It's also telling that the "normal" flu we encounter every year has been a non-issue, with deaths from that or any natural-cause often counted as WuFlu casualties.) Obviously I don't want to catch the coof but I also don't want to fall for another of the DNC's dupes.
I'm retired but I used to work in various capacities of the "entertainment" business. That industry will never recover, and if it survives will never be the same. It may be a very long time before we see arenas/venues do normal concerts, if ever. Big Sports has the financial means to limp along for a while, the "music" business does not.
But I'm OK with that, one of the reasons I retired was the fatigue of dealing with masses of people at once. Having spent much of my life in/around big crowds I am overexposed to the point of being quite happy with being shut-in, the break has been a godsend. The public at large had gotten so rude/entitled/Karenistic 5-10 years ago I had to get out of it, and that was way before the WuFlu hysteria.
I can see how the average person is much more affected by the isolation, I thrive on it but most people have a much more active social life and spend more time visiting extended family so I understand how that would be a stresser. Also, I spend most of my waking hours doing this, so I have all the company I need (surrounded by Patriots, yay <3 <3 <3)
