Pro Tip: when the democrats are the only ppl doing it, not the republicans, not the MSM news etc. They arent doing it because they care about deaf people. They're doing it because they want to "look" like they care about deaf people.

Looks like they care more then you do (yes, they probably do it just to score some points, but it's better than going out of our way to look ignorant). Mocking deaf people gets us where? This is the sort of attitude that get us further from actually winning anything.
I get that most people just assume close captions work just as well out of ignorance, it just doesn't if and you all would know had you ever researched it.
Also people who just have awful hearing like me -.-
I can deal without one, but it's helpful to have it there, I also really appreciate subtitles.
