No matter what I said prior, did not matter. It was Joes Treasury Secretary's statement about taxing unrealized capital gains. Only crazy people actually say things like this, whether or not it happens. He got that. Then I showed him a picture of the health secretary, and he just looked and said.... maybe I should have listened to you (fake chuckle).

Probably a way to tax crypto
Yes, already is, Bitcoin profits will be reported, I am sure the rest will follow when crypto is highly regulated. They are trying to make crypto wallets institution only like banks. I think they will pass this. Uniparty desires this.
This has been why I have wondered just how well crypto will do in case of a market crash. In theory it should do well because it was meant to be independent of things like the stock market, but because it has been institution based in the past 4 years it has closely followed the stock market’s ups and downs
They will delist crypto from the stock markets and make it a condition of operating under any business license that crypto can not be accepted as payment. That will pretty much end it.
Yeah, I still look to metals for security, lots of money to be made in crypto right now but its not the safe hedge, certainly is not the "new gold" as its been touted.
Will be interesting to see how to they tax Satoshi on his gains, considering nobody knows who he is, or whether he still lives, or (if alive) whether he still controls the keys.
By the very design they can’t limit who can have a wallet. They may try a lot of things, but really they’ll just control the on road to Bitcoin and others which is what they are doing now anyway.
thats why you keep it in bitcoin
Shit was inevitable but I don’t think it will work.
Also a way to tax property at the federal level. Which will be a huge issue.
