They hold your re-access to in for 30 days....but your data...has always been THEIR data and they own it when you use their platform - and they will NOT delete you. That's why it's "Free". Your entire profile-and not the public one-the bigger one, the one on you, your habits, your LIFE, contacts discussions and even the facial datamining of any and all pictures you've ever uploaded. Probably 1 million data points on you - like a fingerprint.
all you can do is keep them from compiling more new, ongoing data on you going forward, and eventually your profile will go stale and become less usable and saleable.
I changed my profile picture to the Weeping Frenchman from WW2 on January 20th. It was up for 4hours then I closed my account. I had been steadily weeding out useless people since November. In 13 years I never had over 100 friends on it. Only added people I KNEW. It was at 88 when I shut it off. Good riddance.
