Between our Governor Greg Abbott ordering the Texas National Guard to return home, and our Attorney General Ken Paxton immediately engaging in aggressive lawfare against the Biden administration over immigration, I have never been prouder to be a Texan. That is saying a lot too, because I have always been very proud of my state.

If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times. "Texas is the greatest nation on earth!"

EDIT: Oh yeah, I almost forgot. We have a legitimate vote on secession coming up too. If you follow us, I promise you, us Texans WILL lead the charge.

But Elon is coming to help combat them.

24
victory2024 24 points ago +24 / -0

As far as tech billionaires go, Elon isn't the worst, but the thousands of employees he will be bringing from California are most likely ready to start electing California-style politicians in Texas.

Battery cars are NOT the way of the future. Look up how slaves have to get the products for lithium ion batteries. The short distance they go. WHAT u have to do, when u RUNOUT of batt power. ...Is it in a desert? Have u heard the stories of electric cars exploding in underground garages? How inefficient!! We already have resources for our fossil fuelled machines (& could b energy independent w/o middle east)...why would we do a 180??!! OHH It's cuz Musk and NEWSOM have contract$, BILLION$$. USA never got those masks that Gavin "ordered". Cuz he ordered ELECTRIC CAR$.

-1
Galivinn -1 points ago +1 / -2

Electricity is renewable through many means, and nuclear is clean and safe when proper operation of reactors occurs. The travelling wave reactor also seemed promising in enabling the use of depleted uranium and would allow the US to not have to guard airfields full of depleted uranium as it is all turned into fuel. As batteries get denser in their Wh/kg they are very quickly becoming rivals to ICE cars for range.

I think there is a completely legitimate role for fossil fuels with plastics, and in industrial industries right now for huge machinery and things like airplanes or ships where you couldn't feasibly get enough battery power and have any sort of range, but when that is no longer true and it becomes cheaper to have batteries then it doesn't make sense not to switch. Especially when the ethical issue of Lithium mining is behind us, solid state batteries are on the radar of lots of major manufacturers and Neo is already talking about introducing them next year I believe.

2
FattyWatt 2 points ago +2 / -0

fossil fuels have held up the world's societies for centuries. They've proved their worth. Why gamble on batteries? Ok, you go dig up ur Uranium (w/ Uyghur slaves) & try to put a battery together urself. I'll be driving my car. There is no "ETHICS" in power/batteries ---there's purchasing POWER of the people, in a capitalist society (who can make the most from the product). Unfortunately, Illegal deals with international CCP corporate powers(ElonMusky), through Gavin Newsom, is FORCING our economy to bring in electric cars into our USA. There's nothing "renewable" or "clean" about it (that's a virtue signal term, to make u feel good about urself, when u say it).

Nuclear is the ONLY option if the end goal is eventually replacing gas/diesel with electrical power. You can't be pro CO2 reduction and not also be pro Nuclear if you're a rational person. Trying to replace all fossil fuel energy sources with solar and wind is a fantasy - it can't be done.

Unpopular_Opinion 3 points ago +3 / -0

That's all part of the plan. There is a reason he just became the wealthiest man alive. He was put there and this is all just part of his grift.

No but a billionaire who is vocal against liberal insanity will have sway. Plus he is moving in near austin which NEEDS a businessman like that to combat the mayor's idiocy. It is what it is, I live near dallas and (screw the NFL/NBA) people do listen when Jerry Jones or Mark Cuban talk because they're successful businessmen.

Texas is doing God's own work, son, and so are you. Keep spreading the word. I will, too.

22
BrokenBleu 22 points ago +23 / -1

This Texas chick I know who’s up Biden’s ass and complains about the South kept going on how like “times are changing” and “Texas is becoming blue.”

I hope she sees this as a big fuck you cause of her stupid comments.

3
ZerioctheTank 3 points ago +3 / -0

Plenty of people in Austin had that mentality, but we're very upset at how red Texas turned November 3rd.

20
Klootviool 20 points ago +21 / -1

When is the vote on secession?

35
Sideways 35 points ago +35 / -0

I belive it is in November. If they do succeed I think I'll move to Texas

24
D0NNIE_DARK0 24 points ago +24 / -0

Needs to be sooner. Too much time for DS to memory hole and strategize.

6
Sideways 6 points ago +6 / -0

Agreed but I'm not familiar with how texas does things. Where I'm from we have big resolutions like this during the time they would vote for politicians. Most likely so they maximize the turnout.

5
WiseOldOwl 5 points ago +6 / -1

It might just be a bluff. Like, they want to throw something big on the table to get concessions.

Remember, a lot of people on our side don't have the vision we do. They are busy with living real lives and don't have the time to see what the left really is. After 2020 they have less excuse, but still.

14
PN_OShea 14 points ago +14 / -0

It's no bluff. There are a lot of really pissed off Texans down here

4
Yeeticus 4 points ago +4 / -0

Also more time for the Biden administration to REALLY fuck everything up and drive even more people to want secession.

2
ZerioctheTank 2 points ago +2 / -0

November is the earliest we can vote on it, but the legislation has been presented to our state reps yet.

10
xBigCoffinHunter 10 points ago +10 / -0

If Missouri doesn’t start making moves to go with them I may as well.

Good riddance to the idiots in DC! Glad our NG guys coming home

23
musket_22 23 points ago +23 / -0

In the next few years you're going to see a lot of State vs. Federal alternations. Governors are going to completely ignore Biden and start running things their own way.

15
ThunderSizzle 15 points ago +15 / -0

Until states start fighting federal income tax for their citizens, these actions don't matter.

States need to ban federal income tax.

4
gluon 4 points ago +4 / -0

The best way to keep power at the state level is to keep taxes at the state level, and have the Feds beg the states for more money. The Federal government is way too strong and continuously threatens to withhold money that was earned inside the state itself, unless the state does what the Feds want. I am not sure why states have allowed themselves to be threatened for so long thinking it's just fine.

3

Our boys shouldnt have been there in the first place, and the thanks they get is to get shoved into a freezing garage. To hell with all of them.

9

I need to make one of those guys looking at another girl memes where I am looking at Texas with my arm around Indiana.

9
LtPatterson 9 points ago +9 / -0

Good, and form them into a TX militia while you're at it.

8
T-Bear 8 points ago +8 / -0

Texas has a very well-established Texas State Militia already (coordinates with county sheriffs and local disaster relief), and about a half a dozen other militias scattered throughout the state.

The militia just needs to be treated and outfitted with the same respect currently given to the military. Our Constitution treats the militia as equal in respect; we ought to do the same.

7

Let's fucking go. Now leave this shit union

5

let's start small though, by Making Austin Texas Again

1
ZerioctheTank 1 point ago +1 / -0

I'll totally switch from wearing my MAGA hat to a MATA hat in a heartbeat. It's an uphill battle here in Austin, but I'd love for some more frens to join the battle with the few of us here.

4

Moving back to Texas last year was the best decision I've made.

4

Texas needs out before the crooks turn it blue with fraud and claim the “changing demographics” mean it will forever be blue, see Virginia, Georgia

God bless you guys and gals for your service! Sorry our illegitimate usurper treated you all so poorly.

4

4

Gov Abbott takes care of the troops. Screw the DC congress their worms

3

From the article: We feel incredibly betrayed.

YOU DON'T SAY!

3
RedTX 3 points ago +3 / -0

They are not PROPS! They are our fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, and our kids--they deserve to be treated with dignity and respect!

FYI, I did read on OANN that President Trump has authorized for the NG troops to stay at the Trump Hotel DC. That's our guy!

I really hope that Gov. Abbott stays the course for the remainder of his term. He lost a lot of support (including me...) due to the plandemic bullshit. Glad to see that he is now awake!

God bless Texas, and God Bless America!

If things “go south” in this country, I think I’ll literally go south, to Texas (I’m in a red state, but Sasse is one of my Senstors; need I say more...😑).

2

2

Coloradans are being rapidly displaced by C*lifornians. Can we come? Hell, the Republic of Texas used to claim it on a map!

2
n0w0y 2 points ago +2 / -0

TLDR: REEEE

no more speeches. no more promises. do it or shut the fuck up. in fact don't tell us until you are done. any republican party lurkers...i have never seen so many weak pathetic pieces of shit. I wont say I am an expert but I have been to San Francisco and have journeyman level experience in identifying large pieces of shit. Can somebody switch out Bill gates and put in Hugh Laurie (Dr. House!) they have the same amount of medical training. if were getting fucked can it not be from the little dickhead that ate lunch inside of his locker growing up?

People who have donated to the RNC using WINRED go to the site and get your refunds.

I think this is probably the angriest i have ever seen the america. Americans are done. No more tic toc shit. no more rallying the people. everyone is already listening. the building of the coalitions is done. catering to the other side and what they think, is done. any politician that is promising action, do it or dont do it. nobody fucking cares about them (the politicians) politicians like lindsey graham always make it about themselves. if they are doing it for the people it doesn't matter what they think. i dont pay politicians to think. Americans are fucking done!!! the whole country has done nothing for 4 years waiting for justice. what did we get? a fake bio weapon that destroyed peoples lives. now that the cure for carona virus has been found we are going to "build back better" small businesses. it wont be the people that lost all they own maxed every form of funding they have. it has been said that minorities will get priority for loan and funding approvals. with that single move they made more racial inequity. more division.

Screw You Guys! I'm going home!

Does anyone know who the Capital PD officer was that ordered the NG out in the first place? Has he been fired yet?

2
youknow_thething 2 points ago +2 / -0

Fucking good. Glad Gov Abbott wasn’t going to take them insulting our Texas National Guard. How the fuck can you question their integrity while also weeding out “patriot sympathizers”

why did he send them in the first place though

1

Yeah it was retarded to ever send them in the first place. It just plays into the lie about the Capital Protest and that it was ever a threat. A real threat would have left us with a much smaller congress.

1

To freak out the democrats.

1

Abbott might not have made a good Prez candidate but he's a damn fine Governor.

1
OhLollyLollyPop 1 point ago +1 / -0

He has been threatening Austin for a year over defunding the police. Then he does exactly what they wanted, so they don't have to pay the cops... and he sends in the Sheriff's Dept and the Texas state cops. So Austin still doesn't pay, but the rest of us have to pay. Abbott is a limp dick.

1
