I was filling out an application for something and when it got to the "Sex" question, there were a few options. I took out my Sharpie and crossed out two of them, leaving only "Male" or "Female" as options. And then I checked "Female". I did this almost automatically, it was like something in me just rose up and resisted. I'm not usually the type to be that petty. Now I'm not necessarily proud of that, but I'm also not ashamed. I'm just really, really, REALLY tired of this being shoved down our throats. I dont care what people do, or how they identify, but I wish they wouldnt force those of us who choose to just follow science and the Natural Order of things, to accept cognitive dissonance (and arguably, mental illness). Plot Twist: Before accusing me of being a bigot, I'm a black woman. Who never cared anything about trans people, my attitude has always been "live and let live", but now I'm at the point where I just really want the loud and aggressive ones to go away, just fade from the fabric of society and how we shape policy.

** Also, I implore women of any race to really check on how trans men impinge on our sex based rights. Not all, but some of them want to erase what it means to be a woman.

There's more to being a woman than throwing on a dress, some lipstick, and a pair of heels.

at some point transsexual went from a relatively rare condition that people would quietly transition then make great effort to conceal their past to all but perhaps their closest friends or potential partners, to a cry for attention to everyone around a person. It used to be the last thing they wanted was to be read, because the goal was to become the opposite sex as much as humanly possible.

Somewhere along the way that got hijacked by people who just want attention. "I am trans, you know it, and you gotta put up with me anyways" became the thing. Which kind of defeats the purpose of all the work to change in the first place, because now everyone around will always know and you'll never escape it. It also seems to include "accept me as a woman" even for those who probably should have had better guidance because they do not pass well, and they do not make even some basic attempts to help their appearance. You can get all the work down below you want but if your face still says man people will see a man. The plastic surgery is better spent working that over first. Sometimes even just having bangs to hide a large forehead would be enough but they don't do that.

So true. Earlier, I was thinking back and I realize I actually respect trans people who somewhat resign themselves to the idea that what they are is a bit unwell, but they decide to live lowkey in it, and just handle it like any other life decision without all the fanfare. They didnt force themselves into mainstream, they formed their own communities..which really, I think a lot of old skool trans people preferred anyway! I'm black, so I can relate to the frustration that some gay and trans people feel when all you want to do is live life and be left alone, but the loudest and most foolish of your minority group insist on making you a target and making life harder for you. I feel that way about BLM.

Lol, I remember on some of the BLM/Antifa livestreams in Portland/Seattle, there were dudes with beards...in ballgowns. Full beards...with ballgowns...how in the f....? I mean, pick a side! If not for the aesthetic reasons alone! Lumberjack above the neck, Cinderella below the neck! But yeah, nothing wrong with your mental health!

I don't think that's transsexual, that's just gay and being flamboyant
