It isn't. It was a gift from a Russian during a trip overseas in 2014.

"Missing context" is the official ruling by the fact checkers. The same ruling they give anytime something is true but they don't like it.

The photo of her wearing it while standing next to John Kerry definitely legitimizes its authenticity.

So, according to unbiased Usa Today, the hat was an "awkward" gift of equal awkwardness to a potato.

So a potato is also symbol of one of history's most atrocious mass murdering regime?

Gotcha. Nothing to see here, eh Usa Today?

A communist hating American patriot would never wear the hammer & sickle symbol and take a photo with it smiling.

Can we not turn into Democrats and their dumb Russia nonsense. I like Russia and you would like Russia too. Russia is a wonderful place, I guarantee we have more in common with the average Russian than we have in common with anyone within the metro area of any of America's cities or anyone that has the typical political class resume of a liberal college law degree, some time in a tribe law firm engaged in lawfare and corruption, and then claiming to be for Americans after a stint in some lower level government office.

No, it's about fighting fire with fire. Has nothing to do with Russia and everything to do with the communist hammer and sickle she wears.
